Chris Kimsey has been a producer, engineer and musician for more than five decades. He began his career at the legendary Olympic Studios in London, working early on with The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and B.B. King. Over the years he collaborated with Emerson Lake & Palmer, Killing Joke, Marillion, The Psychedelic Furs, Yes, The Cult, Johnny Hallyday, Duran Duran, Soul Asylum, Bad Company, Tom Jones, Ash, INXS and New Model Army.
His long-standing collaboration with The Rolling Stones was especially influential, contributing to seven albums including Some Girls, Emotional Rescue, Tattoo You, Undercover and Steel Wheels. Kimsey has also mixed live concerts for The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Elton John and Cliff Richard & The Shadows, and worked on 5.1 surround projects for Elton John, Dire Straits, Genesis and Phil Collins. Today he continues to produce and perform, most recently returning to Olympic Studios to design the new Dolby Atmos cinema and recording facilities.
